Court documents have revealed gruesome details surrounding the death of a 6-year-old boy in the US.
James Robert Hutchinson was killed in Ohio by his mother, 29-year-old Brittany Gosney alongside, her 42-year-old boyfriend James Hamilton.
Gosney first told police the young boy was missing, before admitting to further details about his disappearance.
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the mother tried abandoning her son at a park, before running him over as he tried to climb back into the car.
Police say the body was then brought back to their hometown of Middletown, where it was later dumped in the Ohio River, NBC reports.
Due to the dangerous river conditions, authorities are yet to locate and recover the body.
Gosney is facing three charges - murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence.
Hamilton has escaped a murder charge, but will also appear for the other two.
The pair were responsible for looking after two other children, however, officials have taken them away from the household.
