The rumour mill about Russian President Vladimir Putin's health continues to turn after he was pictured coughing and huddled under a blanket at Russia's Victory Day parade on Monday (NZ time).

Putin had a thick green blanket covering his legs as he sat among WWII veterans and senior dignitaries to watch the military procession.

He wore a black bomber jacket, and the Independent reports Putin was the only person among his group who needed additional warmth to combat the mild 9C weather in Moscow.

He was also spotted coughing, and in another clip the President appeared to limp, adding to rumours that he is battling with his health.

Last month video surfaced of Putin slouching throughout a meeting with his Russian defence minister.

The footage showed him looking bloated while holding onto the corner of the meeting table for the entire 12-minute meeting.
