An Australian man's bizarre snack choice has raised eyebrows after he was spotted chowing down on raw chicken.
As the man made his way down an escalator at an Adelaide shopping centre, a disturbed shopper caught the man tucking into a raw chicken drumstick straight out of the supermarket packaging.
The woman snapped a photo and uploaded it online where people expressed their disgust.
"Can someone please check to see if this man is still alive?" one person commented.
"Someone is trying to get a few sick days," another wrote.
"I can smell the salmonella from here," a third wrote.
According to Food Standards Australia New Zealand, raw chickens are likely to be contaminated with pathogenic microorganisms such as salmonella and must be handled and processed correctly to prevent foodborne illness. Chicken must be cooked properly before being safe to consume.
