Activision has released a trailer for the first Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC pack, entitled Havoc.

The add-on includes four new multiplayer maps, access to the new AE4 directed energy assault rifle and new cooperative mode Exo Zombies.

The AE4 and its custom weapon variant, the AE4 Widowmaker, are said to combine a versatile firing mechanism with all-around movement speed and handling.

The new Zombies mode centres on four Atlas employees played by John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan and Jon Bernthal. The actors have provided their voice over and likenesses to the roles, as Kevin Spacey did in the main Advanced Warfare single-player campaign.

Activision describes Exo Zombies as a "dark and cinematic experience" in which four survivors of a failed evacuation face off against a bloodthirsty, ravenous mutant horde spawned unexpectedly from a DNA bioweapon.

Titles and descriptions of the four new multiplayer maps are as follows:

Core
Set in the Gobi desert among the ruins of a nuclear fusion plant. Players will battle through the wreckage in long-range combat and get up-close and personal in the tunnels surrounding the central turbine. The map-based scorestreak is a series of decontamination drones that attack nearby players.

Urban
Based in Dallas Ward 3, a future mega structure that funnels players into a close-quarters, high-speed combat. The compound's height will mean putting the exoskeleton boost powers to reach all levels. Urban also features a timed event - opening blast doors will alter the map's flow and sightlines.

Sideshow
In the shadow of Devil's Tower, Wyoming, this abandoned inn's open layout aims to amplifiy its creep factor. Players can blast their way through the clown inn with close-quarters battles or use long-range site-lines from the mining facilities and natural terrain. The map-based scorestreak activates lights, music and a clown marquee that rains down a barrage of rainbow smoke-trailed cannonballs.

Drift
An idyllic ski resort high in the Rocky Mountains is transformed into a festive high-altitude playground, designed for an all-out firefight. Players can make their way to overwatch positions in the glass observation deck or take a ride on the carousel to deliver 360 degrees of carnage. The map-altering timed event is an avalanche of snow and debris.

Havoc will be released first over Xbox Live on January 28. Its release date for other platforms has not been announced.
