Demi Moore reportedly “starts freaking out” if Ashton Kutcher doesn’t reply to her messages quick enough.
The actress announced her separation from Ashton last year, following claims he was unfaithful. She has since completed a stint in rehab where she is believed to have received treatment for substance abuse and an eating disorder.
Although Demi is trying to move on with her life, she is understood to be struggling to put her marriage behind her.
“Her mood right now relies solely on Ashton and how responsive he is to her messages and phone calls,” a source told the British edition of Grazia magazine. “If he doesn’t message her back for a couple of hours or seems distant in a text, she starts freaking out.”
Friends are also said to be concerned about the effect Ashton’s new girlfriend will have on Demi and her recovery. He is thought to be dating Lorene Scafaria, and they were seen out in public together earlier this month.
Sources suggest Demi doesn’t believe the pair’s romance is serious.
“Demi doesn't know much about Lorene, as she's been shielded from the media while in rehab. Demi and Ashton have been texting regularly. She seems to be in denial about the fact he is thinking of settling down with another woman and is looking forward to seeing him,” an insider told Heat magazine.
“Demi's friends are worried she doesn't seem to have acknowledged Ashton's new relationship.”
