A moviemaker was given a police warning over the weekend for riding a camel through Park City, Utah as a promotional stunt during the Sundance Film Festival.

Director Next Anyextee rode the animal, named Moses, through the streets of the city on Friday to promote his Arab Spring documentary Egypt Through the Glass Shop, after it failed to win a place in the festival's main line-up.

Police officers soon put a stop to the stunt by citing Anyextee for obstructing traffic. The director and the camel were then escorted away from from the scene.

Anyextee posted a series of photographs of the stunt on his Twitter.com page, writing, "Police caught us ridin (sic) dirty on Main Street. Sundance. 1st time getting pulled over on a camel... The police set us free. Unfortunately my camel Moses had to leave Sundance but its 1st citation for a camel obstructing traffic."
