Entourage actor Kevin Connolly has confirmed a movie based on the series has been given approval by Warner Brothers Studios.
He took to Twitter to share his delight, saying;
“Warner Brothers Just gave the Entourage Movie a GREENLIGHT!!!! @mrdougellin@jerrycferrara @adriangrenier@jeremypiven #gametime”
Late last year producer Mark Wahlberg confirmed long-standing rumours a film was in the works.
He told HollyScoop.com, "It is (finished). I think we will be getting a copy tomorrow (Friday) and hopefully we will be shooting in the spring.
"It's going to get back to the basics, kind of like the beginning of the series. We had very strong female characters, but we want the guys to get back to just being guys... Everyone wants to see them get nuts again."
The TV series ended a year ago after eight seasons.
