The team behind Baraka have reunited for another journey around the world in Samsara.
Filmed over nearly five years in 25 countries on five continents, and shot on 70mm film, Samsara aims to transport viewers to the varied worlds of sacred grounds, disaster zones, industrial complexes, and natural wonders.
Mark Magidson is the producer, co-editor and co-writer of both Samsara and Baraka. He worked alongside director Ron Fricke to create the films.
I recently spoke to Magidson over the phone about his films ahead of Samsara’s release in New Zealand cinemas today.
