Jason Segel's mother broke down in tears after watching the actor's nude scene in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and then emailed the rest of the family to warn them.
The funnyman flashes his private parts in the 2008 break-up comedy in a mortifying scene in which his character is dumped.
However, Segel failed to tell his mother, Jillian, about the nudity before she watched the movie, and it sparked a hysterical reaction.
Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, he explains, "She cried," before revealing she later fired off an email message to their relatives to tell them about the full-frontal scene.
The email read: "I would like to inform you all that Jason has chosen to do full-frontal nudity, however, it is not gratuitous and is essential to the plot."
