Jurassic World released on BluRay

Jurassic World released on BluRay

Jurassic Park was a monster of a movie more than 20 years ago, and Stephen Spielberg's follow-up, Jurassic World, has become the biggest movie of the year.

Now fans can get the blockbuster on DVD and BluRay.

This week the Indominus Rex and his mates thunder from local cinemas to home cinemas as the DVD and BluRay editions hit stores.

And to celebrate, Universal Pictures took its stars, and a few lucky hangers, on to visit two of the permanent sets left from the production shoot.

Spielberg saw Jurassic Park in Hawaii, and some of his original production team returned to Kualoa Ranch for Jurassic World.

This time their job was to create a full-scale compound large enough to house Jurassic World's biggest, baddest mutant dinosaur – the Indominus Rex.

BlueRays are as much about the extras as the film.

Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard says the deleted scenes are where things get a little down and dirty.

"My favourite scene to shoot is in the deleted scenes where I get to smear dinosaur poop all over my body," says Howard.

Director Colin Trevorrow has already confirmed two more films, and Howard's clearly excited, but is staying tantalisingly tight-lipped.

"Colin is very good at sharing and he's shared some stuff with me that I am very excited about. I probably shouldn't talk too much on it, but I do know some things," says Howard.

She spent two hours chasing and being chased by dinosaurs while wearing high heels.

"Here's what I'll tell you – when it was official that there was gonna be a sequel, the way I found out, was that Colin texted me, #NoHeels2018," says Howard.

Fans for now though will have to make themselves content with their BluRays.
