Kristen Stewart is said to be desperate for a break from the spotlight.
The 24-year-old is one of the most in-demand actresses in Hollywood after being propelled to international fame when she was cast as Bella Swan in the Twilight movies.
As well as her acting abilities, the films also shone light on her off screen relationship with co-star Robert Pattinson.
The pair are no longer together, and Kristen's close friendship with Alicia Cargile is now what has got people talking. However, those close to the brunette star say she just wants time off from it all.
"Kristen is desperate for a break from acting and the spotlight, and Alicia totally gets her," a source told British magazine Grazia. "They now live together and this is the happiest Kristen has been in a long time. Alicia worked as an assistant on a movie called Kill Your Darlings, which was released around the same time as Kristen's movie On the Road in 2013.
"The pair began mixing in the same circles regularly. They got on so well that Alicia became Kristen's assistant, but they wanted to spend all their time together, so they decided to lose the professional side of their relationship."
The pair have been spotted holidaying in Hawaii recently, but are said to not be keen to put a label on their friendship.
Kirsten's relationship with Robert ended on bad terms when she was caught on camera getting close to married film director Rupert Sanders.
She hasn't been linked romantically with anyone since then, and is said to be glad of the break from relationships.
"Kristen has been left badly burned since Rob and all the drama with Rupert. When she and Rob split she told friends she had sworn off men for a while," the insider said.
