Kim Kardashian reportedly feels "guilty" about ditching Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

The star has apparently decided to quit the reality TV show her family is famous for. Her decision comes after she gave birth to her daughter North in June. Kim's fiancé Kanye West has made no secret of his desire to keep North out of the limelight, something Kim has taken on board.

"Kim feels very guilty - she feels like she has stomped on her mom's heart. She always says that Kris [Jenner, mother] lives for them, for the Kardashian brand. Kim hated having to tell her she was entering a new chapter of her life," an insider told British magazine Heat. "She also worries when Kanye talks about transforming her image, because she thinks that sounds like he's dissing what her mom did for her."

Although Kim, 33, knows the move is right for her, she still has mixed emotions. While her family all find the interest in their personal lives hard, Kim has always realised it comes with the territory.

"I know Kim was terrified to tell her mom because she thought Kris would explode at Kanye. She was definitely torn. Kim loves the show and embraces all aspects of it - whenever the others complain about the intrusion, Kim would say, 'This is what we signed up for.' But Kanye changed all of that," the source added.

Kim's sisters Khloé and Kourtney have also apparently decided to leave the series. Khloé's marriage to Lamar Odom has been going through a rocky patch lately, following claims he is addicted to drugs and cheated on her.

While they are thought to be working things out, she reportedly wants more time to devote to the relationship. She is yet to discuss her problems in public, although she has hinted at them on recent episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Fans have seen Lamar frantically calling Khloé and her family, with her moaning she isn't his mother and can't treat him like a child in other scenes.

Kourtney is also tired of the show and wants to take some time out from the spotlight if possible.
"She just wants to run the family's Dash stores, be involved in their clothing line and perfumes, plus be a full-time mom," the insider said.

Her partner Scott Disick is less interested in backing out of the show, which brings him lucrative nightclub appearances. This is said to have caused Kris to dream up Kardashians - Next Generation, a show which will focus on her teenage daughters with Bruce Jenner, Kendall and Kylie. It's thought Scott will also appear on the series.
