Kiwi in Graham Norton's Red Chair

A Kiwi man has escaped the Red Chair on The Graham Norton Show for telling his story about a mate and his toilet misadventure.

The Red Chair is a segment on the show, where audience members are given the chance to sit and tell their story, which must be compelling enough to prevent the host tipping them out of it with a lever.

New Zealander Andy had the audience in stitches with his tale about a run he went on with his mate, Dunc.

"We were running past a car, and Dunc really needed to go for a poo," Andy told Norton.

The two men ran over to a nearby toilet block, but it was closed.

"He was busting – he really needed to get this thing out of him," Andy said, much to Norton's disgust.

Dunc crouched behind a bush, and shortly after a German shepherd came bounding over, so he pulled up his pants and jogged off, Andy said.

"About 20 seconds later the owner of the German shepherd came over and she was like 'Roy, you naughty boy!'"

Andy then demonstrated to the audience how the dog's owner had put a plastic bag over her hand and picked up the faeces - which she thought belonged to her dog – before tying it to her belt and wandering off.
