Ladyhawke has announced a three-date New Zealand tour as she prepares to release her first album in five years.
The 'My Delirium' hitmaker will perform in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington in July.
Set for release on June 3, her third album Wild Things sees Ladyhawke, real name Pip Brown, with a new lease on life; describing the new work as "even more synthy and poppy".
'"I feel good for the first time in ten years. I have a clear mind! I have a wife. I feel stable. That is what I'm celebrating."
Ladyhawke scrapped a full album's worth of material in the making of her upcoming album, which she started on in 2013.
"People wonder why there's always a massive gap between my albums -- the reason is both complicated and easy. The simple explanation is that I've never released anything I'm not proud of. That's important to me," says Ladyhawke.
"I wanted this album to reflect the frame of mind I was in when creating it. I tried very hard to change my life for the better, and to create a positive and bright environment to exist in. This album really is a reflection of the headspace I found myself in after achieving this. Colourful is one word in particular that springs to mind."
