A sexy video for Miley Cyrus’ single ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ has been released in which the singer desperately tries to shed her Disney image.

The 17-year-old Hannah Montana star performs a raunchy pole-dance in the video while dressed in an S&M style black bodice.

She also writhes around on her back in a very low-cut top, wears black bird wings and thigh-high boots while dancing inside a giant birdcage and dances intimately with male partners.

It’s not the first time Cyrus has hit headlines for risqué behaviour.

Saucy amateur photos of her pulling up her tee-shirt and looking provocatively into the camera hit the internet in 2008, the same year a racy photo spread of the then 15-year-old was published in Vanity Fair.

Last year, Cyrus was criticised for pole-dancing at the Teen Choice Awards.

More recently she performed a duet with Bret Michaels in which the 46-year-old Rock of Love star asked her to shed her clothes, although he denied the lyrics were aimed at her.

Cyrus gained worldwide fame in 2006 in Hannah Montana, playing a teen with a secret life as a pop star. The TV show launched a singing career which gave her four No.1 albums in three years.

With the ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ video, Cyrus has made it very clear she wishes to cast aside any resemblance to the Disney alter ego that made her famous and be regarded from now on as an adult singer.
