New Beatles film shows music behind the screams

It's no secret The Beatles and hordes of screaming girls went hand-in-hand in the early '60s, but it didn't always make for the best recording environment.

Now, new film The Beatles: Eight Days a Week is promising to reveal the band as you've never heard them before.

The screams were the soundtrack to Beatlemania, but for the Fab Four on stage, they were fighting a losing battle.

Who better to undertake the task than Giles Martin, the son of The Beatles producer Sir George Martin?

Giles had worked with his late father on a number of Beatles projects; now he found himself using modern technology to improve the recordings his father had had to contend with.

George Martin died six months ago, and remixing his live album of The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl alongside the documentary was for his son an emotional journey.

Even modern technology cant silence all the screams, but then such incredible scenes are all part of the Beatles story.
