Drug funding agency PHARMAC is in court today, defending it's choice not to fund the breast cancer fighter Herceptin.
Pharmac decided to pay for a shorter nine-week treatment programme, rather than the full year course.
A group of eight women is fighting that decision, saying they successfully fought their cancer, after receiving the full 12-month programme of Herceptin.
Spokeswoman Chris Walsh says Kiwi women are having to pay huge amoutns of money for a better chance of survival.
