The Bachelor NZ exit interview: Storm

On last night's episode of The Bachelor NZ, finalist Storm wasn't blown away when she didn't receive a rose.

She told Newshub that she quickly fell from cloud nine after their first date, and by the second date she was ready to go home.

"I was shying away from it; I got a good impression from him at the start...but it just wasn't right in the end."

A part of the Bachelor process as the finalist numbers dwindle, is going home to meet the family, a process Storm wasn't ready for, and was a deal breaker for 32-year-old bachelor Jordan Mauger.

"I was very prepared to go home that night, especially after that talk with him. I knew it was time."

Storm says she found the show to be a "very isolating and a challenging journey", but feels good about it.

"I wouldn't do it again. There are so many good things I got out of it; you've just got to take the positives out of it."

Despite the exotic locations and lavish living, the 24-year-old says it wasn't a holiday.

"It was difficult. The worst part was being cut off from my world. I'm a really independent person, and I found I didn't do very well in confinement."

She was one of the first contestants to kiss Jordan, and one of the only to do so multiple times.

"My first single date was great, it felt quite natural. I think on my second date I was hoping things would progress and they didn't, it felt a bit flat. I was hoping things would feel different.

"He was a good kisser, I feel like our first kiss on the first date was the first memorable. The other times maybe not so much."

In spite of an initial connection, the brunette struggled to maintain the spark with him, but that wasn't for lack of trying.

"There were many times I felt like I should've taken myself out, but I wanted to give myself that chance."

However, competing with 24 other girls for one man's attention means there's not a lot of one-on-one time.

"I don't feel like I can describe him that well because I don't feel like I got to know him that well. And I would be really interested to see what he was like without all the cameras around."
