What would you go through in order to get your hands on a pair of kicks designed by your favourite celebrity?
Eight shoe enthusiasts queued for two days on a footpath and say $300 was a small price to pay for a new pair of Kanye West's Yeezy Boost 350s.
"Accomplishment that we made it for the two days because it was a pretty long two days, but excitement as well just to finally see the shoe, because we actually hadn't even seen the shoe or anything," says Aucklander Johansen Miller, 24.
Thousands of others turned out to try and purchase one of only 33 pairs in an Auckland store, while another 24 pairs were released in Wellington.
High St store Loaded used a raffle to pick a lucky few, while eight were available to those who lined up for 50 hours.
Those who claimed a pair had to have transport ready for their own safety.
The shoes are the second that West has released with Adidas, and feature a rubber outsole and woven upper.
