Of all the ways to counteract gender inequality, beatboxing is not generally considered top of the list.

However that's exactly what Emma Watson did when musical theatre star Lin-Manuel Miranda put her on the spot during an interview as part of the Women's HeForShe Arts Week, a gender equality campaign launched by the United Nations (UN).

Miranda had volunteered to perform a freestyle rap in a show of support to the movement, but on one strict condition: that Watson provided the beat.

As the UN's women goodwill ambassador, Watson duly obliged, but she was certainly reluctant to participate -- and perhaps rightly so.
