A video has emerged of Mick Fleetwood being brought out at an Auckland show featuring three prominent New Zealand musicians.

The concert -- which was billed as a collaborative performance between good friends Connan Mockasin, Liam Finn and Lawrence Arabia -- saw the Fleetwood Mac founder enter the Crystal Palace stage to drum on the band's 1968 track 'Need Your Love So Bad'.

The show was raising money for the former Mt Eden cinema's revamp, which would see it become a built-for-purpose music venue -- but punters got more than they bargained with as Fleetwood's cameo performance drew rapturous applause.

The April 8 concert also saw Crowded House and Split Enz founder Neil Finn enter to jam with his son Liam and the rest of the band during an encore.
