It's been nearly a week since the passing of musical mastermind Prince, but new court documents stating he left no will have raised the question: where will his money go?

The 'Purple Rain' singer's sister, Tyka Nelson, filed documents to a state court in Carver County, Minnesota asking for a special administrator to be appointed to look after his affairs.

She also asked to be probate to the musician's estate.

According to Reuters, Nelson listed her and five other siblings as Prince's heirs, but gave no insight into the value of his assets or debts.

However, it is estimated Prince's music catalogue could be worth somewhere in the region of NZ$745 million.

In the court documents, Nelson says she doesn't believe Prince left a will, and proposed Bremer Bank in Minnesota -- which has dealt with Prince's business for years -- be appointed as the special administrator.

Minnesota attorney Stephen Hopkins told Reuters it was unusual for a person of Prince's status to not have left a will left.

He said the administrator's role would be to look at all of Prince's assets and pay the debts he owed, along with his taxes.

Prince was cremated on Saturday at a private ceremony.
