Will Smith has been cast to replace Hugh Jackman in upcoming drama Collateral Beauty.
The Australian star was forced to pull out of the production due to scheduling issues with X-Men: Apocalypse.
At the time of Jackman's departure, filmmakers were eyeing Johnny Depp to step in to the project, about a New York advertising executive who is plunged into a deep depression following a personal tragedy, but Smith has now signed up.
Overbrook Entertainment has confirmed to be co-producing the project alongside Anonymous Content, PalmStar and Likely Story.
Principal photography is scheduled to begin in October.
Actress Rooney Mara and funnyman Jason Segel also star in the movie, which will be directed by Me And Earl And The Dying Girl filmmaker Alfonso Gomez-Rejon.
