Elephant tusks pre-cut to discourage poachers

African elephants are being slaughtered at such a rate that conservationists are taking desperate measures to try and save them.

Laws haven't stopped poachers, who kill elephants for their ivory, so now they're trying to remove the temptation.

Government veterinarians are purposefully removing elephants’ tusks in hopes they will be less of a target for poachers, but the move is controversial.
