Interstellar space: Voyager 1's final frontier

It's official - NASA's Voyager 1 has become the first man-made object to leave the solar system.

Scientists have been debating for more than a year whether the 36-year-old spacecraft had made it into interstellar space, and now they've proved it has.

But now long can it last, and how far will it go?
