New Zealand fishing company Sanford has told the Government it will support a New Zealand and US proposal to create the world's largest marine protected area in the Ross Sea.
The plans could be approved at a meeting in July of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources.
But there are conditions attached to Sanford's offer.
