George Michael post-mortem 'inconclusive'

George Michael's post-mortem has proved inconclusive, leaving questions around what killed the pop star.

The 'Last Christmas' singer died at his Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, home on Christmas Day (local time).

Michael's partner Fadi Fawaz said he found the singer lying "peacefully in bed".

Thames Valley police say further tests will need to be done, with the results not likely due back for several weeks.

His death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious.

Police are now preparing a file for the Oxfordshire coroner.

Following his death, a number of stories about acts of generosity and kindness emerged about Michael, including a Deal or No Deal contestant who received £9000 after she revealed she wanted the money for IVF treatment.

He contacted producers after the 2008 show to donate the money.

The woman, Lynette Gillard, only found out who the mystery donor was following Michael's death.
