Acclaimed New Zealand dancer and choreographer Parris Goebel and singing legend Elton John are looking for the next, well, Parris Goebel.

After working with the likes of Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, Goebel and John are looking to help an aspiring music video director make it big.

YouTube-sponsored project 'The Cut' is a talent search for undiscovered directors to create videos for three iconic classic John hits.

Goebel is specifically looking for people to come up with ideas for 'Bennie and the Jets'.

"But I'm not just looking for any video," says Goebel. "I'm looking for the freshest, most unique dance video. So dancers, get to work."

John, along with writing partner Bernie Taupin, are also on the hunt for directors for 'Rocket Man' and 'Tiny Dancer'.

"We're excited to see creative ideas that push boundaries, tell compelling stories and give viewers something they've never seen before," says John.
