Justin Bieber leaps off the ledge in Queenstown

Justin Bieber has been embracing everything New Zealand's adventure capital has to offer with a Canyon Swing in Queenstown.

The pop star has spent some extra time in New Zealand following his sold-out show at Mount Smart stadium on Saturday.

During his stay in Queenstown, he followed in the footsteps of many thrill-seekers who have visited the city.

In a video posted to his Instagram on Wednesday,  Bieber can be seen with his hands laced behind his head, before falling backwards from the 109m high ledge.

He captioned the video '#airbaptism' #gracefall'.

He also used music from local band Six60 in the video.

Cam Brocklebank, 'Jump-Master' at Shotover Canyon Swing & Fox, said Bieber seemed like "a pretty normal guy".

"He introduced himself and had a yarn to everyone. He was pretty relaxed until he realised what he had gotten himself in for".

Mr Brocklebank said the pop star said a prayer on the side of the ledge before jumping.

Bieber certainly seems to have been enjoying his time in new Zealand. An earlier video posted to his Instagram shows him boogieing with a senior citizen at a bar in Arrowtown.
