Right-wing firebrand Tomi Lahren suspended from show for being pro-choice

A popular conservative broadcaster in the US has been kicked off her own show for declaring herself "pro-choice", arguing that abortion should be legal.

Tomi Lahren is said to have been suspended from TheBlaze for at least a week, with reports that she may be dropped from the network altogether.

The 24-year-old has previously lashed out at feminists and the pro-choice movement, labelling them "baby killers", but is now offending much of her hard-line conservative audience, among whom anti-abortion views are seen as fundamental.

"I'm someone that is for limited government, so I can't sit here and be a hypocrite and say I'm for limited government, but I think that the government should decide what women do with their bodies," Lahren said on The View.

"Stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well."

Lahren has caused outrage with many of her statements, such as suggesting Syrian children were cowards for "running away" from war and claiming the Black Lives Matter movement is "the new KKK".

Her popularity skyrocketed last year as she passionately supported Donald Trump, scoring her over 4 million Facebook likes and guest spots on more mainstream shows such as The Daily Show and Real Time with Bill Maher, as well as The View.

Responding to the controversy her pro-choice comments had stirred up among conservatives, Lahren defiantly tweeted, "tough".
