One clever Star Wars fan has gifted us the edit we all wanted to see - splicing the ending of Rogue One straight into the opening of A New Hope.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set right before the events of the first original Star Wars (1977) - as in right, immediately before - and now we can see how closely director Gareth Edwards shot-for-shot matched George Lucas' seminal opening scenes.
Warning: Spoilers for Rogue One, obviously.
What's more, fan Barre Fong's edit also gifts us arguably the best scene in Rogue One: Darth Vader in all his badass glory dealing out a brutal corridor smack-down while chasing the stolen Death Star plans.
The DVD and Blu-ray release of Rogue One is just a few weeks away, on April 5.
