Katie Price defends using N-word on TV

UK celebrity Katie Price has defended using the 'N-word' on live television.

Price became famous as a topless female glamour model, before appearing on numerous reality TV series.

Price was criticised for telling ITV's This Morning show her disabled son Harvey has been subjected to online bullying, including being called a "black blind n****r".

"People might think different about calling my son a n****r" if more anti-bullying measures were in place, Price continued.

Her choice of words drew fire on Twitter. "Katie Price did not have to say 'n****r' on live television, regardless of the topic. She could have used the n-word," one wrote.

But Price has lashed back with a Facebook video sharing her views.

"So, I've just been on This Morning, and I've made the headlines everywhere because I used the word 'n****r'.  Yes, I did use the word n****r because that's what people call my son. They call him a blind n****r, they call him a black spastic, they call him a golliwog.

"So I'm glad I've made headlines using that word because I want to get it out there that it's not acceptable.

"Just think about it, there are people out there who have to put up with that kind of abuse. Because I'm in the public eye I can speak about it and it's got to stop."
