Porn links claimed in Mel B divorce fight, husband gets visiting rights

Former Spice Girl Mel B's estranged husband Stephen Belafonte has won the right to visit the couple's young daughter, despite allegations of physical assault and porn industry connections.

The couple are in a bitter fight at Los Angeles Superior Court since the pop star filed for divorce on March 23.

Melanie Brown, 41, has accused Belafonte of choking and punching her, forcing her to lie about injuries, impregnating their nanny, hounding her to engage in threesomes with other women, and secretly recording sex tapes, the Los Angeles Times reported.

However, the court has ruled Belafonte can still visit their five-year-old daughter Madison twice a week under supervision.

Brown's lawyers accused Belafonte of being involved in pornography, which included trafficking women for the industry.

Her lawyers also claimed Belafonte brought a rapper who had served eight years for manslaughter into the family's home.

Belafonte's lawyers have disputed the claims as "an ongoing smear campaign".

"Mother Teresa does not marry Attila the Hun," lawyer Grace Jamra told the court.

In early April, an Australian stripper told media she had a threesome with Brown and Belafonte in 2007.

Another element to the case involves the couple's nanny Lorraine Gilles who, in court documents, claims she had a sporadic sexual relationship with Brown over seven years.

"The couple had sex sporadically, sometimes having sex multiple times in a week and at other times going months without sex," The Sun has quoted the documents as saying.

"Indeed, at no point did Gilles and Belafonte engage in any sexual acts without Brown's knowledge or participation."
