Star Wars: Battlefront II trailer reveals prequel, Force Awakens heroes

The debut trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront II reveals the addition of heroes from the prequel trilogy and The Force Awakens.

Like the first trailer for film The Last Jedi, the Battlefront II trailer was supposed to debut at the Star Wars Celebration event this Easter, but it leaked online early.

The 2015 game was criticised for not featuring a single-player campaign; a problem apparently rectified in the sequel, which looks to have a story centring on an Imperial soldier in the days following the Empire's defeat at Endor.

Rey, Darth Maul, Kylo Ren and Yoda all feature as new heroes absent from the last game, along with new multiplayer areas including Starkiller Base and a major space battle.

Publisher EA ends the trailer with a message telling fans to pre-order the game in order to get The Last Jedi heroes.
