The Bachelor NZ 2017: Molly says Zac was too 'deep and meaningful' for her

Molly Littlejohn, sweetheart of The Bachelor NZ 2017, was evicted from the show last night as Zac was unimpressed by her quirky heart and chicken-feeding soul.

It's a pity, as the 24-year-old Wellington native was one of the few remaining stable Bachelorettes.

The rest of the girls seem to be competing for the crowd of Miss Rapidly-Rising-Unresolved-Childhood-Issues-That-Manifest Themselves-In-Extreme-Craziness... step forward Rosie.

But not primary school teacher Mol. However, even a private date planting rice with the man himself wasn't enough to keep The Mol in the game.

She wasn't surprised to be going home. Despite a strong start in the show, Zac & Mol had only a sputtering chemistry by the time the day came for the single date.

"He's already forged such strong connections with other girls, and it's always hard to catch up," she says.

"A lot of our single date wasn't [shown in the episode], but we spent a lot of time together."

Although Mol does feel like Zac got to know the real her, she got strong friend-zone vibes on the single date.

She also wasn't so comfortable with The Bach's fondness for getting deep and personal. She's not always that keen for the candle-lit, wine-fuelled meaningful chats that Zac digs. According to Mol, Zac is keen for the ladies who he can DMC with - and that is not her forte.

"He likes the old deep and meaningfuls and he's not going to get a lot from me."

She did go deep on their single date, admitting to having a wild past of drinking and partying too much.

"Maybe I shouldn't have delved in deep and right away on my past, but I don't regret anything."

Intense chats just aren't her thing, and Zac's not really either - Mol now admits he's not who she'd usually go for.

"I don't think he would be, he's more deep and meaningful than I'd usually go for," she says.

"It gets to the point where you're thinking do I really want this all to work out?"

And even though she did go home without Zac, she did come back to reality with a supremely gangster reality TV nickname - The Mol.
