Bruno Mars kicks off BET awards with crazy dance number

  • 26/06/2017

Just try not to groove along to this one - the BET Awards kicked off with a 24K magic opening performance from Bruno Mars.

The singer and his saxophone-playing 'Hooligans' are known for their dance-filled, perfectly choreographed performances, and this one was no different.

They performed one of the lesser-known singles from Mars' album 24K Magic, the energetic track 'Perm'.

Bruno Mars was up for five awards at this year's show, including Album of the Year and Video of the Year. He ended up walking away with the award for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.

The annual BET Awards show celebrates mass achievement in black entertainment and sports.

A$AP Rocky, French Montana, Gucci Mane, SZA, Swae Lee and The Weeknd also performed.
