For some people of a certain age, the word 'Sega' stirs up a very special kind of nostalgia.
Those people will be thrilled to learn of Sega Forever, a mobile app that will gift them free access to "nearly every Sega game", from the Master System to the Dreamcast.
The iOS and Android service, the name of which must be sung to the tune of Spice Girls hit 'Viva Forever', will allow Bluetooth controller support, cloud saved games, online leaderboards and new games every month.
Sega Forever is launching with five classic titles - Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Comix Zone, Kid Chameleon and Phantasy Star II.
Although the app is free, it will feature ads, which can be removed for a few dollars per game.
The first batch of titles are available for download now, with more promised soon.
