Rihanna fans are admonishing Chris Brown for commenting on a recent Instagram post of hers, despite his history of viciously abusing her.
He left an emoji of googly eyes under her photo showcasing her latest festival outfit, a colourful, racy ensemble that includes bedazzled underwear and feathered wings.
Brown's comment caused outrage, with several fans demanding he leave her alone.
In 2009, he savagely assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna, later pleading guilty to the attack in which he punched, choked and bit her in a hired sports car.
"Pls keep your negative energy away from Rihanna," one commenter told him after his Instagram comment.
"Chris Brown is an obsessive, abusive, disgusting man who Rihanna has absolutely no interest in, he's f**king psychotic," tweeted @runwayrih.
Despite the countless messages expressing anger at Brown over his comment, Rihanna herself is yet to reply.
