Ex-One Direction member Niall Horan has been on a streak of solo singles at the moment, dropping two chart-toppers over the past year, 'This Town' last September and 'Slow hands' in May.

The singer-songwriter is now embarking on a worldwide solo tour, the Flicker Sessions, holding his first concert in Dubin on Tuesday night (Local time). The venue was so close to Horan's home, his family even showed up for the gig.

Horan gave the screaming girls in the crowd a real treat, as he performed an acoustic, folksy rendition of 'Fool's Gold,' a song that originally appeared on One Direction's fourth studio album, Four.

In a video filmed by a member of the crowd, the singer strums the opening notes and the fans immediately begin to scream with the delight. Throughout the video, Horan's voice is joined by the fans' own exuberant singing.

Horan has been vocal about his love for his past life in the boy band before, previously telling Billboard, "I told my managers from the start: When One Direction comes knocking, fook what I'm doing. I don't give a sh*t if I sold out arenas or won Grammys. I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for that."
