"Can you guys light it up tonight for Chester? Please make some noise so he can hear you all the way in heaven tonight," Jay Z told the crowd.
Bennington took his own life in July, leaving behind six children from two marriages.
Meanwhile, Jay Z also recently addressed the rumours about his alleged feud with Kanye West, who targeted the 'Holy Grail' hitmaker and his wife Beyonce in an infamous on-stage rant in 2016.
During an episode of the Rap Radar podcast, he says lyrics in track 'Kill Jay Z' were not aimed at the 'Stronger' hitmaker, despite reports that they were.
"It's not even about a Kanye diss… I'm talking to myself the whole time," said Jay Z.
