Rap superstar Drake will be performing his first show in New Zealand since early 2015 when he performs in Auckland at the end of this year.

The hip-hop star, who is one of the world's biggest artists, will be performing a solitary concert at Auckland's Spark Arena on November 3.

The Canadian will be bringing his Boy Meets World tour to our shores just a year after he was named our small nation's most-streamed artist of 2016.

Drake holds a number of records for the success of his music, and has already established himself as a powerhouse and influence in the hip-hop world.

The Auckland date kicks off a series of concerts in Australia and New Zealand, which culminates less than three weeks later with two shows at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena.

Tickets for the Auckland concert go on sale at 12pm on Friday, September 15.
