Australian Ninja Warrior is much harder than it looks

Australian Ninja Warrior is the crème of the crop when it comes to Western adaptations of zany Japanese game shows.

The series, adapted from Sasuke, has made headlines around the world with international versions produced in the US, UK and Australia.

In anticipation of the series debuting on Three, we thought we would put one of our reportrers to the test.

New Zealand has its own version of basic Ninja Warrior-style course at Jump in Miarangi Bay and The AM Show's Aziz Al-Sa'afin thought he was up to the challenge.

Luckily, he didn't injure himself like The Project's Josh Thomson did, but he says he was left covered in blood, sweat and tears.

Australian Ninja Warrior launches tonight on Three at 7.30pm and will be broadcast on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings for the rest of the season.
