Facebook events pop up for Prince Harry's stag do

Prince Harry has only been engaged for a day, but people are already organising his bachelor party.

The 33-year-old prince announced his engagement to American actress Meghan Markle on Monday (local time).

Several Facebook events have been created to celebrate the happy occasion, all called some variation of 'Prince Harry's Stag Do'.

The most popular event, planned for May 10, 2018, currently has 30,000 people who have indicated they're 'going'. A second event, scheduled for June, isn't far behind, with 28,000 attendees.

One of the 'event organisers' has also set up a page for Ms Markle's bachelorette party.

The events have attracted hundreds of comments from Facebook users with all sorts of opinions on the upcoming royal nuptials.

"What's the dress code? Inappropriate fancy dress again?" asked one commenter, referring to the 2005 scandal, when photos of the prince wearing a Nazi costume emerged.

Another commenter posted a picture of the prince alongside James Hewitt, an ex-Army captain suspected by some to be Harry's real father.

"H, is your dad going?" the user asked.

"Can't wait to do shots with Charles," said another.
