It seems Barbra Streisand might have reason to re-record her 1985 hit 'Send in the Clowns' as a 2018 version: 'Send in the Clones'.

The songstress has revealed in a new interview with Variety that her dogs Miss Violet and Miss Scarlett are actually clones of her beloved Coton de Tulear dog Samantha.

Samantha passed away last year at age 14, but the 'Funny Girl' singer was so besotted with her beloved pet, she had her mouth and stomach cells preserved for cloning before her death.

Streisand also has a third dog, Miss Fanny, who she says is a "distant cousin" of Samantha and her cloned descendants.

"They have different personalities," Streisand told Variety about her two fluffy white pups. "I'm waiting for them to get older so I can see if they have her brown eyes and her seriousness."

The internet has gone into overdrive at the revelation that Streisand's dogs are cloned.
