Hot on the heels of their all-day breakfast, McDonald's is launching a trial of home delivery which is likely to be as popular as their McNuggets.

The fast food giant has confirmed a very limited trial in west Auckland meaning for now, only a few people will be able to take advantage of the service.

From Wednesday, customers in New Lynn within the 0600 postcode will be able to get their meals on wheels, though Glenfield residents in the 0629 postcode will join them next week.

Spokeswoman Joanne Mitchell says the delivery service is a response to public demand.

"McDelivery is about offering our customers choice and convenience," she says.

Customers will be able to order via the menulog website though it appears not all of the in-store options will be available.

"Core menu items" including burgers, fries, desserts and the all-day breakfast items will be available. It doesn't include the Create Your Taste menu.
