Lotto split six ways

Winning Lotto's first division doesn't always make you an instant millionaire, several players have found out.

Saturday night's draw was won by six different people, each of whom will get $166,667 - not even enough for a deposit on the average Auckland home.

The winning tickets were sold at Valentine's Stationers in Auckland, Rockfield Superette in Auckland, Wigram New World in Christchurch, Countdown Pukekohe and Countdown Pukekohe South in Pukekohe, and Allenton Foodmarket in Ashburton.

The winning numbers were 4, 5, 8, 15, 16 and 22. The bonus ball was 25, and the Powerball, 3.

No one won Powerball, which will roll over $6 million on Wednesday. Strike was missed, and will rise to $700,000.
