Fast and reliable internet is yet to reach farmers across the Canterbury Plains.
But Spark is set to roll out 4G over these areas, making it easier for farmers working outdoors.
There are huge frustrations running and organising a large dairy farm with patchy internet. Vital information about the status and history of each cow should be available at a farmer's fingertips.
But in reality, poor signal is slowing them down almost every time.
That is set to change however, as Spark invests $14 million on 70 cell towers across the Canterbury plains.
