Police are investigating the discovery of a body on the banks of the Rakaia River in Canterbury.
A woman’s body was found by emergency services earlier this evening. The discovery is believed to be linked to a number of fires in the area this afternoon that are being treated as suspicious. Police are currently at the scene. Newshub.
