Two Swiss backpackers who hadn't been seen since attempting the Tongariro crossing have been found safe and well.
Police were concerned for the safety of Simon Oesch and Miriam Haggmann when they failed to check in after their crossing attempt on Monday.
Both have now made contact with their friends and family and are safe and well.
