A West Coast campground has become the centre of police investigations into a woman missing since December.
Thirty-six year old Shelly Crooks last used her eftpos card on at the Punakaiki campground.
Police say she was last seen on December 22, wearing a rain jacket and black pants with running shoes.
She told a friend she was hitchhiking to Opotiki in the North Island for Christmas.
Police have been delivering notices around the West Coast with a description of Ms Crooks, focusing in the Punakaiki and Fox River areas near Greymouth.
Ms Crooks is described as 180cm tall and of medium to solid build.
Police urge anyone with information to contact them on 03 768 2611.
